Tucked in the mountains near the village of Geilo in Norway is a unique mountain lodge designed into separate living spaces that project outward, giving off different views of the landscape around the property. At the center is the kitchen, branching off is the dining room and living room as well as the private bedrooms and such. Each room is laid out to provide privacy while still offering floor to ceiling windows to display perfectly the landscape of the Norwegian mountains. The interior and exterior both offer a light timber lining contrasted by concrete accents. This unique take on modern architecture keeps the simplistic broad lines while adding shape by choosing to use various angles in the design, match that with the timber and concrete pallet and tuck it into the white Norwegian mountains and the result is simply stunning.
Sleek. Modern. Unique. I like it.
