Alfa Romeo debuted the long rumored 4C Spider in Geneva this week. The Italian sportscar manufacturer adapted this sleek convertible from the original coupe, but this canvas soft top model features carbon fiber constructed roll bars, windshield frame and spoiler to counter act the weight of making a convertible version, adding only 132 lbs. The 4C Spider also features a Akrapovic-sourced dual exhaust system - made of titanium and carbon fiber, with an electric valve system for improved performance and sound. It also has carbon fiber clamshel headlights and custom alloy wheels. Performance-wise, the 4C Spider holds on to the 4C's four cylinder 1.75 liter turbocharged engine and dual-clutch 6-speed gearbox, thus offering 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque and allowing the 4C Spider to go 0-62 in 4.5 seconds at a top speed of 155 mph. Alfa Romeo's 4C Spider is set to go into production in early 2015.
