Renowned British artist Damien Hirst is setting the ground work to open hos very own gallery in Lambeth, London in a street-length space on Newport Street. The gallery is currently set to open in May of 2015 and will feature 2,000 pieces of Hirst's own collection, including works from Banksy, Francis Bacon and Jeff Koons, among others. The gallery will double as an office space for Hirst who has a gallery just down the street as well. Hirst said in an interview with The Observer,
“It’s a place to show my collection of contemporary art. It feels bad having it all in crates.”
