Marvel has put out the extended trailer for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, hinted at in the credits of Thor: The Dark World. The trailer gives a deeper look at the story and its various plot twists surrounding the Guardians, a group of outcasted mercenaries. The Guardians, Peter Quill, Gamora, Groot, Rocket, and Drax the Destroyer team up to protect the galaxy's most powerful treasure. The film hits theaters August 1st.
