Google's Gays Rights Olympic Doodle



The Olympics kick off today and the globe is all abuzz, but this years Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia has been about more than just the games, Gay Rights have also been in the forefront due to Russia very strong anti-gay laws that could have landed Gay Olympic athletes in jail had they came to the game. Google being the stand-by-us company they are showed their support for gay rights and the Olympics this morning with a Rainbow Olympics doodle on their homepage. The doodle is pair with a quote from the Olympic Charter that says,
"The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play."
Regardless of where you stand on this issue, this is sure to be a Winter Games for the history books. You can click on the doodle on Google and see the guidelines and rules for the organization of the Olympic Games.
